Huron Women in Networking (HWIN) Dinner Happening April 29, 2010!

It’s time again, ladies! The popular HWIN (Huron Women in Networking) dinner is back again, scheduled for Thursday April 29th , starting at 6 pm. The evening will be both informational and entertaining!

Katrina Bos, author of “What is we could skip the cancer” will be our speaker, and she calls her talk “The National Fun Deficiency: It’s a serious problem”.~ I’m going to talk about being able to take ourselves lightly – being able to laugh at ourselves and the situations that we find ourselves in.~ There are many situations and challenges in our lives that over time make us very serious people.~ Along with this goes the challenges of being entrepreneurs – and being female entrepreneurs.~ While we are working hard at our families, our business and everything that we do, we almost become incapable of being foolish, feeling light, and being able to take life less seriously.~ But having fun makes everything easier.~ We are more efficient.~ We have better ideas.~ We don’t get stuck as often.~ And most of all, we look forward to getting up each morning because life is just so much more enjoyable!!

The dinner is hosted by the Huron Small Business Enterprise Centre and held at the White Carnation banquet hall in Holmesville, with social time at 6 pm and dinner at 6:30. The dinner is geared to women of all ages, not solely business women, and everyone is welcome. Bring a friend!

The objective of the evening is networking (obviously!). During dinner, those donating door prizes, and those winning them, each have an opportunity to give a one-minute advertisement of their business/career. At the end of the evening, the grand prize will be won by a contest challenging your memory of those businesses. Come and see how it works!

The grand prize has again been donated by Kathy Nichol, Executive Director of the Innkeepers of Ontario. It features a one night stay for two at one of Ontario’s finest Inns.

At $25 per person, this is a networking opportunity you can’t afford to miss.  Bring along your business cards and brochures and don’t forget we appreciate donated door prizes. Pre-registration is required so we can confirm dinner numbers. To register, or for more information, call Alison Lobb, Business Consultant, or Lisa at the Huron Business Enterprise Centre, 527-0305.
