The Avon Maitland District School Board consists of 9 elected trustees from Huron and Perth counties functioning as a board of directors. Together, they direct the board’s administration as to how students within their jurisdiction are to be educated. They set policy, direction and goals for the system, and approve annual budgets serving as a vital link between the community and the Board.

The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board, a community of schools rich in tradition, has faithfully served these counties for over 150 years and continues to spark the fire and desire individuals have for Catholic Education.  Over the years the Catholic schools have provided an opportunity for students to grow and develop their gifts, as followers of Christ, in an atmosphere permeated by faith. The values taught in our homes are reinforced daily in our schools and embodied in public life.

This business evolved from a growing need of home educators for quality educational resources in Canada.  ‘The Learning House’ carries a wide variety of carefully chosen curriculum and educational resources for Pre K through Gr. 12 students.

As an educational facility, the Huron County Museum & Huron Historic Gaol allows students to investigate various historical, social, and technological themes relating to the history of Huron County. Involvement through hands-on activities is encouraged in every program. All programs are designed to help teachers meet the expectations outlined in the Ontario Curriculum. The Huron County Museum puts on various educational programs throughout the year.

On-line, or e-learning, is a customized, flexible system of learning that combines your educational and employment needs with your reality.  Spokes is a one-stop service offered through the counties of Huron and Perth that is designed to help people, just like you, who want to improve their lives. The program lets you work at your own pace, and helps you adapt your lifestyle to your goals.

The Centre for Employment and Learning is offering ESL (English as a Second Language) Classes in Goderich and throughout Huron County.
