The Huron County Library System serves approximately 60,000 residents through twelve branch library locations. These branches are located in Bayfield, Blyth, Brussels, Clinton, Exeter, Goderich, Hensall, Howick, Kirkton, Seaforth, Wingham, and Zurich. The Library is dedicated to developing a comprehensive collection of books and non-print materials, making them accessible to all residents of the County, from trained and service-oriented staff.

The Huron County Museum was established to house the collection of Mr. J.H. Neill, and to collect, preserve study, exhibit and interpret objects that pertain to the historical founding, settlement and culture of Huron County. This facility is a first-class community museum offering a wide spectrum of subjects of special interest. The Huron Historic Gaol is a unique, octagonal building which served as the County Jail from 1842 until 1972. Now a National Historic Site, this building originally housed the County Courts and Council Chambers. http://www.huroncounty.ca/museum/exhibits_gaol.php
The Marine Museum is a small facility located in the wheel house of the ‘SS Shelter Bay’. Visitors can also observe the shipping activities of the Goderich Harbour from this site. http://www.huroncounty.ca/museum/exhibits_marine.php
Sky Harbour Gallery is located the Goderich Municipal Airport tracing the history of the airport from its founding in 1938 to the present day. Particular emphasis has been placed on the important role played by the airport during the Second World War. Admission by donation. Open year round. The Reuben R. Sallows Gallery is home to the largest public collection of this renowned photographer's work. The Gallery is located in the mezzanine of the Goderich Public Library, a remarkable Carnegie building built in 1905. The mandate of the Gallery is to preserve, protect and conserve the artistic heritage within its collection. It celebrates the rich artistic legacy of Reuben R. Sallows and promotes the Canadian visual art that embodies his innovative talent and spirit.

Huron County is home to four theatres, all offering professional and entertaining theatre. Experience world class, premier Canadian Theatre at the Blyth Festival, or a Broadway performance at Huron Country Playhouse near Grand Bend. The Livery in Goderich offers audiences a unique small town flavour to their productions and the Town Hall Heritage Theatre in Wingham will keep audiences tapping their toes to the sounds of famous musical act.

The Village of Bayfield has a designated Heritage District, comprising of the main street and Clan Gregor Square in the village. This designation was made in 1982 by the Province of Ontario. In order to protect this historic village centre the Bluewater Heritage Committee (formerly L.A.C.A.C.) was formed to oversee this district.
Goderich Marine Heritage Committee - http://www.shipwreckwexford.ca/
Mandate to educate, preserve and promote maritime history along Ontario’s West Coast. Founded in 1999 as a Committee of Town Council, this group has been active in the research of the ‘Wexford’, one of the ill-fated ships to go down in the Storm of 1913. This group continues to search for shipwrecks through underwater side-scanning efforts.
